A modern re-telling of the Jekyll and Hyde story set in a high school world. Frequent bad language, primarily abusing the name of Jesus Christ and then supplementing with variations of the F-word and shit or ass. Frequent sexual references, not exactly explicit but very suggestive, including gay sex and rape. Violence. It’s just a great story.
The writer has technical skill and sets up characters pretty much okay, but she never gets deep enough with anything in the story, and I found the conclusion unfounded.
This could probably be turned into a successful R-rated teenage movie, but it isn’t worth the paper it is written on. I wonder why writers want to abandon all standards of decency and moral leadership in writing for young minds, truly.
